Bradfield Craft Club.

This card is Jaqui's but for some apparent reason (my blogging skills probably) it didn't want to join the other cards below.

Another lovely evening last night at Bradfield Craft Club, meeting up with fellow crafty people is one of my favourite things to do. Anyway down to business and the sketch we used for both the cards and the pages were from the June Pagemaps . Below is the page sketch and we also had to use pastels as our extra ingredient.

Here is Pams.

Take Delight in Life.

Here is the page that I did for the prompt from Shemelle that was to scrap a photo that means something to you ( see post - 26th June below). I used some other photos that went with it because I found a sketch at Sarah's Cards that I fell in love with and decided to use it to show the photo that I love!

I tried to keep it fairly simple ( for me) as I did not want to detract from the photo's so there is plenty of "white space".

I loved how these flowers came out using just a punch, a prima flower and a button.

With these butterflies ( I am seriously addicted to butterflies on my pages) they didn't seem to look right anywhere else on the page then I remembered I had seen a few pages where they adhere shapes to the same paper, so I had a go and lets just say you will probably see more of that sort of thing on my pages in the future!

If you want to check out Shemelle's blog click HERE.

If you would like to check out the sketch challenge at Sarah's Cards click HERE

Check back in a couple of days and I will have the Bradfield Craft Club's projects to show you. We are playing with Shrink plastic tomorrow and I will be taking photo's.

An invitation from Shemelle.

Shemelle has invited us to share with her a photo that means something to us. But we must do something with it, so here is one of my favourite photo's at the moment that was taken in April of one of my DD's. I have yet to scrap it, although I'm not sure why. Perhaps I'm doing the same with this photo as I do with some of the scrapbook papers that are my favourite at the moment - just content to get them out and look at them excitedly and then put them away again until I find just the right time (or photo ) to use them!

Why is it so special to me? well I have 3 daughters, the youngest loves to have her photo taken, always ready with a silly face or fake pose (beggars can't be choosers). My middle daughter, the one who's photo this is, hates to have her photo taken and I usually get the back of her head (perhaps I should scrap some of them to record the fact!!) And my third daughter is a teenager! (do I need to say more than that?) well lets just say I won't get a smile because of the braces and if it's a bad hair day - forget it!
So when this photo was taken and even a few more to go with it ( when she's willing you take full advantage) I fell in love with it because I so rarely get her so happy for me to snap away to my hearts content. She also looks so beautiful when she smiles I wanted to record it so I can look at the layout and remind myself to treasure every smile she gives me even though I might not get them all on camera.
So with that I will thank you for stopping by as I am off to start the layout with this photo! And thanks Shimelle for the invitation.

Butterfly Crafts June Challenge.

Over at Butterfly Crafts they have set a challenge for June - create a layout using a song title or lyrics as your title. So I thought I would have a go as I had the idea for this layout almost immediately ( rare for me as I tend to ponder over my new layouts for ages ).

Hurry over and check out the challenge HERE, the challenge closes on 30th June so if you want to be in with a chance of winning some digi stamps from Wink, Wink, ink best put your skates on!

A True Friend Blog challenge.

Over at A True Friend Blog this week we are celebrating our pets sporting abilities and as my cats usually get featured doing very little ( unless you call trying to follow the sun around a sport!) Domino became the star.
Here he is in his not very manly pink hamster ball, waiting for me to shut the door and put him on the floor so he can run around. He really enjoys rolling along the floor stopping occasionally to smell a new smell or just terrorizing the cats by bumping into them!

So if like me you have an active pet, perhaps one that enjoys running, jumping, fetching or chasing the sun! why not join us at A True Friend and scrap the happy frolicking of your pet and leave us a link so we can see what they are up too.

Saturday sketches.

Another Saturday Sketches challenge over on the Papermaze Blog and a really unusual sketch, although I did love Wendy's take on it I decided to turn it on it's head.

Here is my layout and I was very frugal - only two pieces of the same double sided paper ( which was actually xmas paper reduced to 32p at the Scrap Shed check it out here), a journaling paper and a button!

Monster weekend!

No scrapping done this weekend as my youngest DD wanted some of these little monsters made. I had promised and she wouldn't let me forget it!

They are made from fleece and felt and were easy to make but I really wanted to scrap instead as I have lots of challenges I want to get done for various blogs. But boy was she a happy little girl when I gave them to her - makes it all worth while.

Saturday sketches.

I had another go at the Saturday Sketches on the Papermaze blog this week as I just loved the sketch.
This is the sketch and you should check out the layout that Sarah did for it HERE it's gorgeous.

Here is my take on the sketch using some paper from DCWV and the obligitory butterflies of course!

Can't wait to see what this Saturdays sketch will be and if you played along with this weeks Saturday Sketch too, leave me a link in the comments as I would love to see it.

Using up Old Stash.

I have had these papers by Twelve by 12 for years, not quite knowing how to use them in scrapbooking.
But yesterday I decided they would be better used to make cards and I have alot of birthdays coming up so I thought I could have a marathon card making session.

So here are the results of just three of the cards. I kept it simple so that I could do all the 9 cards in one go. I was quite pleased with the results though and now have some backup cards for the coming weeks.
Thanks for dropping in.

Bradfield Craft Club.

We had a lovely time at Monday's craft club and the time flew by ( as it always does when your having fun crafting). We have planned some shrink plastic and stamping fun for next time and I will post some photo's of the results of our playtime along with our usual sketch challenge photo's.
But for now here is this weeks cards and pages from the sketches and the "Something that flies" theme that was set last time we met.

As usual the page sketch was from the wonderful Julie Bonners blog and if you like working from sketches or just want to see her fab work check out her blog HERE.
Here is Jackie's take on the sketch.

Well that's it for today, thanks for popping in on my little bloggy world, sorry it's been a bit quiet here of late - I'm blaming half term and a camping trip over the bank holiday ( in the rain of course! ) But I will be posting my page for A True Friend blog soon so check back and see what sporty pet I have!
