Well this month we had to use the other three double sided papers and the same photo, this time the photo was of everyone who attended my parents 50th wedding anniversary party.
Here are all three of our layouts.
For my layout I wanted to use the sheet of doily paper as my background as I loved the colour of it and then added some 'real' doilies to bring the pattern in to the rest of the page. I am totally into ripping my paper at the moment so I added a couple of ripped strips above and below my photo and out onto the pink paper.
These tickets were cut from one of the papers that had all different colour/design tickets on it. I backed them with some of the brown cardstock that I made the butterfly from to help them stand out.
Here is Jan's gorgeous page and like me she has used a whole sheet as her background but the stripey one instead. Jan has added lots of layering and doodling (a girl after my own heart) and I love the tag with the details made from Dymo strips.
Look at these beautiful flowers Jan has placed in the corner of the photo, you just wouldn't think that this colour combo would look so stunning!
And my favourite element of Jan's page is the banner she made using those tickets, can you see she has even used eyelets to thread the twine through. Her attention to detail is amazing, she has also added some ink splattering and buttons of course!
Last but certainly not least is my mum Joan's page and she has gone for using some plain cardstock as her background, and has used the ticket paper as a backdrop to her photo. She has punched circles from some of the other patterns, doodled on them all and made them into a scalloped strip (doodling must run in the family!).
I love how Mum has cut this zig-zag paper into strips and made them into banners. Decorated with buttons too!
A great title made from Basic Grey letter stickers and placed in a circle. I never think of doing my titles like that but may have to pinch the idea in the future!
Well I hope you enjoyed seeing our family challenge and I know we will get together with a different one soon, (I just need to think of a good one!).
Go check out my creative cousin Jan's blog HERE for more of her gorgeous Arty Junk (this is what she calls her blog!) and say hi. She doesn't just play with paper like me, there is stitching and altering and inking and ........ just get yourself over there and see for yourself!
Thanks for stopping by. xx
